Working of the Mini VCM IDS Software

Once all the necessary connections are made, use the software to perform diagnosis or programming on your Ford or Mazda Vehicle. Once the software is opened, you will see a menu with three tabs and you can see several options under each menu on your left hand side of the screen. The options shown are:

1.)    System Time

2.)    Dealer Information

3.)    Software – Release and Calibration

4.)    Cable Versions

5.)    VCM- Serial Number, BCF, PROM and Bootstrap

6.)    VMM

On the right hand side, you can see the IDS-68, i.e. the version V68 and other important information.

The second tab shows a drop down menu with items like Start New Session, Manual Vehicle Entry, Vehicle Data Recorder and Previous Sessions. Once you select ‘Start New Session’, a new window appears prompting you to pick the task you want to perform. Once the selection is made, the operation is initiated and you need to wait until the requested task is completed. Once done, a pop-up window appears to let you choose advanced functions. You can select the desired option and wait for the results. After each tests, a detailed report is generated to let the user know what the health condition of his/her vehicle is.
